Bill: Governing Agreement

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthorian Conservative Party 🔵

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4877

Description[?]:

OCC: Now that each side has hit a hard spot between the left and right. We in the Conservative Party have refused to work with the National Movement because of some polices. I think like in the Riksdag in Sweden because we have an issue where no government can be formed.

The centre right wing parties back a Confidence and supply on a left government or the Left back a right wing government just to keep the Sweden Democrats out of office.

For example:
Democratic Party of Luthori (CAL) 26
Liberal Alternative (CAL) 27
Total Seats: 53

White Rose 24
Luthorian Conservative Party 17
Populist Workers Party 13
Total Seats 54

The Swing
Freedom Union 17

So who ever the Freedom Union backs the Left or the Right then the other will back just a Confidence pool with free votes but on the budget.

MessageOOC: This is much more than leaving it to one party to decide. DPL thinks that CAL-WR government should take place (because it is the only government in which 2 parties (3 factions) are needed for majority apart from CAL-NM coalition). We are open to other solutions as well. Keep in mind that CAL doesn't want to only habitate in the government but to actually implement some of our policies and we believe that other parties would agree with us. There are several options we can do so that everybody is happy with this. The options are:
1. Each Ministry is setting its own reforms and the rest of the cabinet parties no matter if the agree must vote for that reform, by doing this we can have some policies reversed to the conservative and others could become liberal.
2. Each governing party must vote yes or abstain if doesn't agree for governing bills. The governing parties can't just turn down their voters and at the same time they can't feel like their government is out of their control. Even if the bill is comming from the opposition NM or other parties governing parties cabinet parties can't vote against each other in this system, but they have the right to abstain (if the smaller portion is against bill and the majority of cabinet is for the bill, smaller portion must then abstain).- This is leaving the FU a decising factor in most of the bills if CAL-WR takes place, which is why I preffer first option.

If any of the rules are broken after the cabinet has been formed, we are heaing toward early elections.

We don't think minority cabinet is solution because we can't be sure that our bills will be voted upon which leads us to the state of only habitating in the government officies and there is no party which wants that. Note that at any time CAL is ready to go into opposition

MessageOOC: Why is not CUL comming back when PWP revived? We can have CAL and CUL like 2 main competitors and FU (partner of CAL which right from CAL) and LCP (as left from the CUL) as stil their smaller but very important partners. Besides this we will stil have NM as far-right and probably there is going to be far-left party which are most of the times excluded from joining into government.

MessageOOC: If CUL comming and as CAL-CUL are rivals and since CUL doesn't have majority from CUL-LCP-FU coaltion, it would make sense to have CAL-LCP-FU government. But as we said we are open for all ideas

MessageOCC: The new Right Collation should oppose the CAL and work to form our own government as we have more seats then them.

MessageOOC: One seat more is not a huge advantage especially if you add to the factor that right has 3 parties + one far-right. CAL is composed of 2 most popular parties. Therefore, from DPL perspective you can either form coalition from NM or allow CAL-WR or even CAL-WR-PWP coalition with the rules we have proposed. By doing this right can pass some conservative acts and CAL can still pass some liberal acts. Isn't that fair?
What is the new Right Coalition?
