Bill: Budget proposal of April 4879

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Party - An Páirtí Náisiúnt

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4879

Description[?]:

The An Páirtí Náisiúnt propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Poblacht na Choiarlabhan (Kirlawa).

Reorientating spending away from Defence (we spent over 5% of our GDP on defence which is crazy for a non-nuclear armed state, even the proposed spending leaves fat for future cuts) and Infrastructure and towards Health, Interior and Justice and the economy with Trade, Industry and Agriculture all increasing in priority.

With infrastructure given the overspending for many years I will put this down to huge recent investment in transport and other infrastructure and now we can reap the benefits by investing in areas that will assist economic growth.

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
