Letter to the Premier of Dorvik
By Eduard Marius, Dorvik journalist and book author

Madam Prime Minister,

Allow me, in gratitude for the kind welcome you once gave me, to draw attention to your rightful glory and to tell you that your star, so happy so far, is threatened by the most shameful and ineffable of imperfections.

You have passed unharmed in the lowest slander, you have conquered hearts. But what a mud stain on your name - I was going to say on your reign - is this abominable monopoly on politics by the Freikonservative Partei!

Since they dared, I too will dare. I will tell the truth, because I promised to tell it, if the justice, regularly seized, did not do so, full and complete. My duty is to speak, I don't want to be an accomplice. My nights would be haunted by the spectre of the innocence that suffers there, through the most terrible of tortures, for a crime she did not commit.

And it is to you, Madam Prime Minister, that I will proclaim this truth, with all the strength of the repulsion of an honest man. For your honor, I am convinced that you are unaware of it. And with whom shall I therefore denounce the criminal foundation of these guilty truths, if not with you, the chief magistrate of the country?

First of all, the truth about the monopoly of Freikonservative Partei.
For 215 years now, the Freikonservative Partei has held all the seats in the Council of State. This means that all the citizens of Dorvik have never seen another party in Parliament in their lives. The Freikonservative Partei has been in power since the beginning of the monarchy.
A party that has monopolized the State Council, and has held all the places of honour at its disposal, a party that is at the top of the list of party groups in the electoral list of delegates to the State Council; a party with an absolute majority, as one would expect from a party that has always held the positions of influence at the top of the State Council, this party has a certain prestige. But what has the Freikonservative Partei done that will give the people of Dorvik the slightest confidence in its actions?
It has no policy as such, no ideas, no program, no proposals for the future. He has an attitude. He has an opinion. It is not a coherent party, a homogeneous group. Freikonservative Partei is not just a group. Its members are very diverse, ranging from men who have no clear opinion on politics to men with profound ideas. Members do not all have the same opinion and there is no room for compromise.
How does it knows what is best for Dorvik? How does it knows the economic and political situation of Dorvik? How does it know what the interests of the people are? It does not know. It is a party that has no clear and well-defined ideas and there is not a single proposal. He has little or no understanding of the economic structure of the country. He has no idea of the ways in which the economy works.

And we arrive at the von Göthaus affair. Three years passed, many consciences remain deeply disturbed, worry, seek, end up being convinced of Freikonservative Partei's monopoly.
I will not give the history of the doubts and convictions of the politicians involved in the affair, simply because that is not my objective in this letter in the name of democracy. This case of corruption and embezzlement of public funds involving many high-ranking leaders of the Freikonservative Partei, undermining democracy and bringing dishonesty to the Freikonservative Partei, is one of the many arguments supporting the thesis of the end of the monopoly of the said party. And if anyone is concerned about why this happened? It happened due to the fact that the party is weak, is not able to handle its own affairs. For, if the party were stronger, it would have become strong enough to avoid such scandals. What is being talked about here? The Freikonservative Partei is corrupt, a system of political and economic power has no longer a monopoly in the country, but is increasingly being challenged by political competitors. The Freikonservative Partei abused the power, the constitution, and the judicial immunity of deputies and ministers. In addition, if that was not enough, it has failed to develop a national political and economic strategy. It fails to use its resources to fight for its political, economic and social interests to a high level. Its own internal economic situation is not satisfactory. It is not able to provide for the basic needs of the people. The party has been unable to attract new members, and its members are unable to contribute to the party's growth. The internal and external economic situation of the party and of the Freikonservative Partei is worsening. This leads to the party to lose political power. It loses its own internal cohesion. And this loss of political power leads to a loss of economic power. And this prevents the Partei Freikonservative from achieving its goals. This, in turn, leads to the decline of the party which leads to the weakening of the State Council. Ultimately, the party loses its national power.

In a nutshell, the Freikonservative Partei has become a system of political and economic power which is increasingly challenged by political rivals. This means that it is unable to develop a national political and economic strategy. It is unable to use its resources to fight for its political, economic and social interests to a high level. Finally, the Freikonservative Partei has become a power which cannot provide for the basic needs of the people. And this causes both its collapse, and this of the nation.
But this letter is long, Mrs. Prime Minister, and it is time to conclude.

By the name of democracy, I stand before political dissidents wishing, quite simply, the downfall of the Freikonservative Partei.
By the name of democracy, the infringers of the Freikonservative Partei abusing their judicial power SHALL be judged by a fair trial.
By the name of democracy,The more than 200 years of tyranny must
And by the name of democracy, The Freikonservative Party, the government at all levels and all public institutions must be reformed.

As for the people I accuse, I do not know them, I never saw them, I have against them neither resentment nor hatred. To me, they are only entities, spirits of social evil. And the act I am hereby accomplishing is only a revolutionary means to hasten the explosion of truth and justice.

I have only one passion, that of the light, in the name of humanity which has suffered so much and is entitled to happiness. My ignited protest is nothing more than the cry of my heart. So may one dare bring me to criminal court, and may the investigation take place in broad daylight!

I am waiting.

Please accept, Mrs. Prime, the assurance of my deep respect.
