Description[?]:

This request is to formally recognize Kundrati as Culturally Open as per Section 7a of the Particracy Game Rules.

Synopsis: Kundrati, for quite sometime, had been an anomaly on Artania and had little cultural RP surrounding it, and generally little RP surrounding it. While recently it had come alive thanks to the efforts of DueWizard, it remained a little "odd" on the continent overall. As a part of a wider project related to Artanian history and the games overall history, I am proposing that Kundrati become representative of the Southern Slavs, notably: Croatian, Slovenian, Macedonian, Montenegrin and Bulgarian. I would personally like to include Serbian's as I believe they are a very underplayed component of the game but that will require some work as they are located in limited numbers in Deltaria and somewhat greater numbers in Cobura.

The cultural make up of Kundrati would include the following:

(1) Naemniki (or Naemnik Anglicized) who are based on the Bulgarian people. "Naemniki" is Bulgarian for "mercenary" which would be related to their role as soldiers of fortune in Artanian wars and abroad;

(2) Zergone who are based on the Slovenian people and will retain their name;

(3) Skitati (or Skitatian/Skitat Anglicized) who are based on the Croatian people. Skitati is Croatian for roamers and are to be named for their role in migrating east following the bulk of the Deltarian tribes migrating to Majatra;

(4) Kopjanici (or Koyan/Koyanic Anglicized) who are based on Macedonian/North Macedonian people. Their name means "Spearmen" due to the combat styles they adopted from Kalopian soldiers while fighting in Majatra;

(5) Tokundian who are based on the Serbian people are one of the original Deltarian migration ethnic groups who are slowly being returned to Kundrati;

(6) Inozemni who are based on Montenegrins, their name literally means "Foreigner" due to their presence on the island located south of the main nation and are largely a mountain people.

Kundrati citizens are traditionally multi-lingual as all languages are taught within Kundrati schools. A vast majority of Kundrati citizens can at least understand other national languages whereas a vast majority speak 3 or 4 languages from the nation. Luthorian (OOC: English) is also relatively common in major urban centers whereas Naemniki (OOC: Bulgarian) is common across the country due to the slightly larger population.

      Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
