Most people like reading the rags, but big business has a stranglehold on media freedoms and uses it to advance their nefarious damaging causes. As such the Front for State Prosperity is proposing to weaken for-profit media and outlaw the publishing of proven falsehoods. |

Message | 1. We can't support. Why we should pump taxpayer dollars into something the private industry does is something wasteful. 2. We are beleivers that the truth will prevail in all things, even if falsehoods are published. Some 'falsehoods' are purely subjective, and if we start censoring the media, where will it end? 3. We feel that the Likatonian public are sophisticated and worldly enough to appreciate that different 'norms' apply to foriegn television content and make exceptions. Also, we resent this idea to stifle freedom of speech. |
