LOI SUR LA PRÉSERVATION DE L'UNITÉ POLITIQUE

The Bourse Générale du Travail (hereafter referred to as the BGT) hereby accepts the following law;

ARTICLE I
In order to preserve the political unity of the population, and preserve the achievements of the workers' syndicalist revolution, it is hereby prohibited to establish, operate, or be part of a political party;
Ia. The state guarantees the right of individuals to express their views openly and without fear of prosecution as long as these views are not considered dangerous and/or counter-revolutionary;

The state guarantees the right of people to organize with other like-minded people and to profess their beliefs (subject to articles Ia. and Ib. of this legislation), however any attempt at establishing a political party and/or organization outside of the legally-recognized unions is prohibited;

ARTICLE II
In order to enforce the provisions laid forth in this legislation, the BGT hereby authorizes the creation of the Direction Centrale des Renseignements Généraux (hereafter referred to as the DCRG) (Central Directorate of General Intelligence);

IIb. The DCRG shall be led by a director, appointed by the Comité de Salut Public and subject to a vote by the BGT (majority support required)

MessageOOC: While this law prohibits the establishing of actual political parties, it does not prohibit cooperation between people of the same political persuasion. It's comparable to the old Soviet system where the only legal party was the CPSU but within it there were factions of people who cooperated to achieve their goals.

Following the same logic, you could RP a "reform group" or a "hardline group" within the country that is legally not a political party but is a cooperation between like-minded individuals in the legislature.
