Date | 08:35:05, May 05, 2006 CET | From | Fenner Brockway Socialist Party | To | Debating the End of child labor |
Message | Given that child labour is still legal in Aldegar, we are not clear how we can go about persuading other nations to abolish it. |

Message | Sorry, our last comment seems to be based on a mis-reading. However - you need to add a legislative proposal to the bill or it will be meaningless. |
Date | 17:42:53, May 07, 2006 CET | From | Ducal Delegation | To | Debating the End of child labor |
Message | This legislation is too draconian. Undertaking work enables children to develop skills which will be valuable for their futures, and to increase the income of their families. Legislation is already in place to ensure child workers are not exploited. Percy Waterman (Personal Secretary to the Grand Duke of Hikirena) |

Message | OOC: Most countries in real life allow child labour (with additional regulations, such as a minimum age requirement, minimum wage requirement, etc - much like the status quo in Aldegar). It'd be a very serious infringement upon minors' civil liberties if this right was denied or taken away from them. |

Message | ^ in response to the Tee Party's claim that "child labour is an abhorrence to all nations everywhere..." 1) Do some research before talking next time. 2) Don't take "child labour" out of context. |
