The police and armed forces are, of course, different services with different purposes, but the status quo of allowing the armed forces the power to arrest lawbreakers certainly does no harm.

Again, the left and the political elites are taking the side of criminals, thugs, and robbers when they are stripping the military of their power.
The military should actively help the police in order to catch criminals and do what is right. Our party has strong ties with the military: we know our soldiers are our allies, not our enemies.

His Grace has the highest possible respect for members of our armed services. However, it remains the fact that the army is trained to defend our country from foreign attack, whilst a police force is trained to tackle crime. These are two very different specialisms.
