Bill: RP:4946 Likatonian State Elections

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Labour Party (NF)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4947

Description[?]:

The 4946 State elections have just been held (https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/4946_Likatonian_state_elections).

In 3 states right wing parties were the largest whilst in the other 2 left wing parties were the largest. Also unlike the last election where left wing parties were the largest block in all states in this election the right become the largest factions in Madison and East Bolton. The largest surprise of the night was the CLP getting a majority in East Bolton and being able to rule there on its own. It was also surprising that the Democrats got the second largest total of seats but failed to win any govenorships.

Now that the elections have taken place state coalitions have to be formed. These have been the coalitions suggested. If any party disagrees please respond with your prefered coalition in this bill.

PIRLAND - Unity Govenor
Unity-DCP-Dem

MADISON - CLP Govenor
CLP-M&F-PRP

WEST BOLTON - Unity Govenor
Unity-Dem-DCP

EAST BOLTON - CLP Govenor
CLP

NORWALK - PRP Govenor
PRP-Dem-M&F

MessageOOC: This law (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=644679), which is currently in effect, determines how state elections work. The governor usually is from the largest party and has to secure a majority in the state parliament in order to get elected.

MessageOOC: When I wrote that law I intened that the govenor would always be from the largest party in that parliament wether if that party is in government or not.

I wrote "The govenor of the state will become a ceremonial role held by the largest party in that state".

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
