MessageI do not think this is a local issue. illegal aliens are people coming into the Country illegally, not a Province illegally.

They are "illegal" aliens.

Messagei understand what FCP is saying and agree
the reason i went for local is because the local governments are the first to sight them, they know better than we do how to handle it because they are closer than we are.

MessageWe do not support this bill because enforcing illegal immigration differently by region causes large, upredictable side effects while failing to discourage illegal immigration. Differing enforcement policies would only drive immigrants to "game" the immigration system by moving to the places where enforcement was the weakest. As a result, the policy decisions of each region will have knock-on effects in other regions, and therefore should be considered on the national level.

The GPP feels that illegal immigration is bound to happen, and that the current policy of expelling them is both expensive ansd ineffective, since those expelled are likely to return anyway, regardless of how stringently the policies are enforced. Therefore we feel the better solution is to takes in the illegal aliens that are not criminals and give them a legal identity. This not only reduces the exploitation of the illegal aliens, it gives them an active stake in our great nation and therefore encourages them to contribute as well. The GPP would like to point out that most immigrants are quite hard working, and if given the opportunity become successful, contributing members of society.

Amendment proposed: The government does not actively search for illegal aliens, but puts them in integration centers if discovered.

MessageWe agree that it is easier for local governments to idetify them, but what are the other options? They're still "illegal" and therefore, if possible, we should take a more pro-active approach towards finding them.

MessageImmigration policy can NOT be implemented on a local level! This is because there are no borders between region. This bill should not be supported because it means that regardless of enforcement, the entire border will only be as secure as its weakest point. For Perimor and Rilmos both share a common border with a foreign country. If the enforcement standards were different, the less enforced side would completely negate any enforcement that the more enforced side of the border would. Federalization is a good idea in principle, but it can't be applied in situations like this. The GPP strongly opposes this bill.
