Total number of party members: 154, 412 Number of ballots cast: 131, 913 (85.4%) Round 1: Bartholomew Poole: 57, 274 (43.4%) Elizabeth Davies: 55, 101 (41.7%) Lawrence Moore: 19, 538 (14.9%) LAWRENCE MOORE IS EXCLUDED Round 2: Bartholomew Poole: 73, 761 (55.9%) Elizabeth Davies: 58, 152 (44.1%) BARTHOLOMEW POOLE IS ELECTED LEADER OOC: I have calculated the party number figures by taking the membership count : votes ratio of the UK Conservative Party at the last irl election, and applying that to the MTP. I will continue to do this unless instructed otherwise. Essentially, this means that one in every 70 votes the MTP received translates to a member. |

Message | OOC: Poole is a fairly status-quo choice, who represents the Tory faction of the party. Davies is more liberal minded, and quite a bit more progressive than most of the mainstream politicians. Moore represents a more populist part of the party, and so most of his supporters voted for Poole in round 2. Also good point with not everyone voting, for now I’ll say it’s against party rules or something, but I’ll take some off next time ;). |
