Description[?]:

FORT WILLIAM, ORANGE - Today, anger and shock sparked across the nations after a proposal by the predominantly conservative Orange Democratic Society to back a LSP-DP coalition in the duchy. This was seen by the national party as a betrayal of the party’s values and ended hopes that the DP could be a united front against the LSP, or any other party, for that matter.

But according to the party’s constitution, there is currently no way that the national leadership can veto a proposal of a local party. When the constitution was first drafted by Lisa and Ernie Jones, they hoped for a party where ‘local parties can operate in a free and independent state’. It seems that this didn’t work out for them, going by the determination of the Orange party to preserve the LSP’s power in the ducal system.

This is seen as in contrast to Erneshire, where Colin Wolfe, a progressive ally of the leadership, ousted Liam Logan and denounced him as authoritarian.

MESSAGE FROM ORANGE PARTY:

Hereby, the Orange Democratic Society shall give their consent to an LSP-led government in the Duchy of Orange, with Chris Flynn as governor, on the following circumstances:
- The Luthorian Socialist Party allow the Democratic Society to participate in the regional cabinet of Orange.
- The Luthorian Socialist Party shall not attempt to politically censor the Democratic Society.
