Voting deadline: April 5007
Description[?]:
ALCHESTER, ERNESHIRE - Today at the July Conference of the Democratic Society, a plan was unveiled by senior politician Ernie Jones to rebrand the Democratic Society as a social democratic, centre-left party. Apparently, a move away from the centre would portray the Democratic Society as a viable alternative to the LSP and SDP that would actually care for the workers. Economic and socially left-wing. However, the conservative, pragmatic wing were not enthused by this. According to Henry Markington, the plan was a ‘witch hunt by Lisa Jones to take the party for herself’. Defections reportedly occured in droves, with masses of conservatives pouring over to the White Rose and Liberal Party. Even though this caused the biggest dip of membership in the party’s history, many right-wingers stayed to vote out the so-called monstrous project. |

Message | After an attempt by the progressives to call another vote, it has been reported that the proposal narrowly passed the 60% threshold required. Lisa Jones dubbed it ‘a complete success for the party’, while Henry Markington defined it as a ‘blow to the stability of Luthori’. The conservative defection intensified, with Gideon Savidge (Minister for Education) even declaring her intention to move to the Liberal Part, where Eva Longham’s libertarianism holds root. |

Message | ALCHESTER, ERNESHIRE - Today, Lisa Jones announced a so-called ‘minor’ changes to the Democratic Society (renamed the Luthorian Social Democratic Party) frontbench. However, this was seen as a finisher to the death knell for conservative participation in the party. Junior progressive frontbenchers were moved to more senior positions, with Jodie Hamm becoming the de jure Health Minister and many other new faces in the party’s frontbench. Henry Markington announced his intention to join the White Rose after his ‘sacking by the witch-hunters of the party’. Amilia Ljungstrand was also sacked by the Secretary, with former Agriculture Spokesperson Catherine Whinery taking her place. Ljungstrand decided to defect to the Liberals in support of their pro-business stance. |
