Bill: Eva Longham meets with Duke Michael Weston for the cabinet negociations

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 5015

Description[?]:

"Mr. Weston, first, I would like to congratulate you for your victory in the elections. We hope you will be successful and the Luthorian people happy.
The Liberal Party is willing to provide supply and confidence to a White Rose minority cabinet at two conditions:
-Remove the tax brackets over 50%.
-Under a White Rose Cabinet, the police won't have unlimited powers, society will not be racially segregated and all our basic rights and freedoms will be preserved. However, the Liberal Party will tolerate a backslide on LGBT rights or women's rights, if it's the will of your party.

We would also like to introduce our economic program, since the LP and WR economic programs are similar:
-Defence industries are privately owned but subsidised by the state.
-Decrease the tax percentage of the profit made by corporations to 30%.
-Energy is provided by private companies but the prices they can charge are regulated.
-No employee representation is required on corporate boards
-There shall be a minimum wage at a level that a single full time worker on it can adequately subsist.
-Stock exchanges are allowed and are unregulated.
-The police cannot search a person or their property without their consent unless the police have obtained a warrant from a court or have reasonable grounds to suspect that a crime was committed.
-The government subsidizes tuition only for students from families classified as low-income or poor (for higher education tuition policy)
-Private companies provide internet service throughout the nation, without government interference.
-The government competitively subcontracts firefighting services.
-The government does not regulate rents."

MessageThe Liberal Party and the White Rose have worked together before, and we stood with them when we agreed with them, we can support this and programme for Government, we commit to this statement too;

‘ Under a White Rose Cabinet, the police won't have unlimited powers, society will not be racially segregated and all our basic rights and freedoms will be preserved.’

MessageSo the White Rose has essentially promised not to be the White Rose. One has to be painfully blind to believe it.

MessageCompromising is not alien to us. Plus, we are not the sum of what we have agreed not to do, we are so much more.
