By the gracious decree of His Majesty, Severus I, Candidus Nepos shall henceforth be invested as Dux Aquilonianus, and head of the new House of Nepos. The position shall be established as hereditary, with his eldest child, Pius Leonida Nepos, as his presumptive heir. He is henceforth entitled to land, with several castles throughout Aquilonia being prepared to house him and his family. He has chosen a castle in Florentia as his primary residence from which he will perform a number of administrative duties, namely: 1 - The Dux shall be responsible for overseeing the raising of taxes within the Provincia of Aquilonia. • 1a.) The Dux shall be obligated to share this responsibility with the Consul of the Provinica of Aquilonia. 2 - The Dux shall be allowed to nominate an individual for Consul of the Provincia of Aquilonia. • 2a.) This nomination must be ratified by a majority of Aquilonia’s Senatus Provincialis. 3 - The Dux will be responsible for the government of Aquilonia, and is expected to manage it with good stewardship on behalf of His Majesty Severus I.
