Bill: RP: UNWF “Protest” Planned for Coronation Day

Voting deadline: October 5037

Description[?]:

With the coronation of the new Emperor, Eowin VII, and with the date now having been announced, the United National Workers’ Front Workers’ Council have called upon all members and supporters of the cause to attend a pre-planned protest and rally, in Fort William, which will take place on the day of the coronation. The purpose of the protest will be to promote the UNWF and a socialist agenda, whilst also protesting the monarchy itself. In this spirit, the Workers’ Council has also invited anti-monarchists to the protest.

The protest day will begin as early as 6AM, with the leaders of the protest meeting in Emperor’s Square. Banners and flags will then be held by the early attendees, with basic chants beginning at about 7AM. With more people arriving, the protest will begin to grow in size and in noise. At approximately 11AM, the main body will begin a march through the streets of Orange. During this march, a smaller group will break off from the protest in order to invade and glue or tie themselves to New Road, with the intention of holding up traffic and causing media attention. The main protest will continue their march until the beginning of the actual coronation, when they will go to stand outside of the Cathedral where the coronation is taking place. There, they will continue with anti-monarchy chants.

The UNWF has also encouraged people to share details of the protest online, and they have announced that a complete live vlog will be posted on multiple social media platforms. The UNWF have also informed the Police Force of plans so the protest can be allowed to go ahead and manned properly. In the event that the police attempt to shut down the protest, as is their legal right, the UNWF Workers’ Council have warned that significant violence would be used. They have also warned that compliance with the protest would be the best and safest option for everyone involved, and have stated that they do not intend to hurt anyone if the protest is allowed to go ahead.

(Note: I tried to go with pretty generic location names. This is also on the assumption that the coronation takes place in Fort William, I couldn’t find anything saying otherwise.)

MessageIn the interests of letting the UNWF make fools of themselves, the police has allowed their protests to largely go ahead as planned.

They will not, however, be allowed to reach St. Richard's Cathedral. Roads near it will already be closed except to authorised persons and vehicles, and the police are prepared to use any means necessary (OOC: within reason) to stop them from making a direct nuisance to the coronation itself.

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play.
