Description[?]:
Political Analyst Edward Brown giving his election analysis on LBC. Local councillor, political analyst, frequent guest on LBC politics shows and grandson of former MID Joseph Brown has been giving his feedback on one-off LBC show “Election Observed”. Mr Brown mainly spoke about the rise of two competing ideologies: economic liberalism and socialism. Brown stated: “Whilst personally I voted for the LCP, society as a whole seems to be getting more and more frustrated with the same sort of parties winning election after election. There hasn’t been a true socialist government in this country for a good number of years now, and people are starting to want change now. Whilst there is still clearly a large mandate for the democratic, liberal side of politics, we are starting to see a shift happen. I can see it becoming almost comparable to the politics of the 70s and 80s, except the far right will be replaced with the far left. I think it is obvious from this last election that the socialist and communist rhetoric is starting to rub off into the general population, with more and more people beginning to vote for the extreme far left. If something doesn’t change we could be facing a communist take over in twenty years or so.” |
