Message | When you go on strike, you are saying "I don't want to work for you." The employer therefore has the right to not associate with you either. There's no reason that workers should be paid if they aren't doing any work... otherwise you could just declare a permanent strike and get free money forever. |

Message | The bill is not about having 'paid strikes', it is about ensuring workers can strike without fear of losing their livelihood. Furthermore, striking is not about saying 'I dont want to work for you', it is about workers expressing disatisfaction with their employer either for low wages or poor working conditions. Your comments regarding the working man expose you as very unrealistic and obviously supporting the interests of the bourgeoisie. The workers are not lazy, and do not seek 'free money forever', they seek a fair and safe job. |

Message | Actually, when you go on strike, it's not because you don't want to work for them, but because you want to have better working conditions, and that's why I accept this motion. |

Message | If the conditions at the workplace are so terrible, the majority of workers would go on strike thus forcing the employer to improve them or lose profit. If other people are willing to work for him and he sacks the strikers as a consequance it is simply market forces in action. |
