| WHEREAS it is incumbent upon us to ensure a good work ethic in our youth, as they are the work forc of the future, AND Education is best accomplished when coupled with real world examples; THEREFORE Let it be proposed that our youth be allowed to work at appropiate jobs, under appropiate regulations ensuring them their special health and educational needs are met. 1) None of these regulations shall apply to family owned businessess employing ten or less persons in total. 2) No One under the are of 10 shall be allowed to be employed 3) those between the ages of 10 and 15 shall be allowed to work no more than 16 hours a week during the school year, and 24 hours per week during the summer break; and only in positions defined as light, non-hazardous occupations. 4) Those minors older than 15 shall be allowed to work no more than 24 hours per week during the school year and no more than 40 hours per week during the summer break; ant non-hazardous occupations. |
