Message | The SD will support this bill. I will also challenge the CRF to support this bill. Surely given, that party's view that abortion is innapropriately being used as contraceptive, they must support the promotion of appropriate contraception. |

Message | So do we get free condoms on trains then? We don't have that much of a position on contraception: The Government surely has better things to spend its money on, but we recognise that supplies of contraception are important to family planning, especially in deprived areas. We also recognise that this could help bring abortion numbers down, an aim that we support. The real reason we vote in favour today however is the transport provision. Traffic congestion is the scourge of modern economies, and anything that encourages people to get out of their cars and into public transport will reduce congestion and so help free up some of the millions of man-hours lost to delays. this will also have positive road safety and ecological implications. We would prefer the issue to be dealt with at local level, but this provision still has our support. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "The main problem of the left is that it has been traditionally divided and unable to reach agreements between different leftist views, whilst the right has almost always moved in the same direction by giving concessions to different rightist points of view." - Aelius Celer, former Selucian politician |
