| An Act to strengthen national defence. In terms of the provisions for exemptions on religious grounds, the objector will only be eligible for exemption if he or she is able to provide evidence of at least six months of active devotion to, or practice of, a faith incompatible with participation in the armed forces, immediately preceeding the summons to service. |
