Message | Mr. Speaker, This reduction of taxes is a noble goal and something that the Democratic Reformists sympathize with. However, our current budget cannot support this. We would lose our surplus and expand the national debt. The people would be paying the national debt instead of the taxes, which would create the same effects as a sales tax.
