Bill: Reform on ecological matters

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2235

Description[?]:

We need to consider these proposals. The HPP wish to change priority considering the money spent by our government. We wish to restructure the public sector and therefore propose these ammendments.
The HPP has seen a lot of improvements in ecology over the years, but to a very expensive cost. Therefore we se an idea in letting go on some of the stances this parliament have had on ecology.

We would like to include in this bill an obligation saying that the state owned companies producing cars, should develop a method to lower the amount of pollution produced by cars.

You've stated that State industries should look into reducing the amount of pollution produced by cars, yet allow the production and purchase of any type of engine. Current technology allows for the production of pollution free vehicles operating on hydrogen and producing water. That is current technology, so why increase the pollution risk by introducing increased pollution risks by selling fossil fueled vehicles?
Why change the law on pollution controls? If the State owned industries are already operating with moderate pollution controls, why change the law regulating that? All we are doing is allowing those industries to increase the harm they cause to the Hobrazian atmosphere with no operational advantage. If we're going to operate these industries then we should expect them to operate with the highest standards, no?
As for recyvling, we see no reason to change this. We have all the equipment already set up to recycle waste from both industry and residential but removing the mandatory position will merely have the effect of people not bothering to recycle as "it takes time and effort".

All these changes would have a negative effect on this Country in every way from economical production values, through to public health. We cannot support any of these articles and call upon all other Parties to vote against also in order to protect and maintain the highest standards that this Country is renowned for.
