MessageI do not believe we should force Zardugalis to speak Zardu. This, it seems, is implied by the resolution itself and by forcing citizens to speak the language is over-kill.

MessageZardugalis have spoken Zardu as the dominant language here for longer than the Consulate has even been around. All this would do is formalize things. It doesn't force a citizen to speak the language, that would be unenforceable. What it does is set to assure that for all people within our borders have a common tongue they can speak in.

MessageThat's a given. All I needed to know was that we're not forcing anything on anybody.

Messagebasically what it says is that the government and all official documents operate in a single language only, and that all citizens need to be literate in that language.

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.
