| Message | Private education leads to social stratification. If rich parents can buy a better education for their children, those children will have an unfair advantage over poor children when they grow up. So the rich kids will stay rich (even though they might not deserve it), while the poor kids will stay poor (because they never had the opportunity of a good enough education to be able to compete with the rich kids). The story will repeat itself each generation, until you have an aristocracy of well-educated rich and an underclass of illiterate poor, and every person remains forever in the class he was born in. |
