Message | All those expenditures listed as none ARE expenditures... we just haven't decided numbers yet. We should build and vote on a budget here. |
Date | 10:24:31, June 21, 2005 CET | From | National Centrist Party | To | Debating the Accounting Bill |
Message | Small-farm corporate subsidies and contraceptive subsidies should together be the bottom of the budget, made out of any left-over money after other expenses are deducted. They are, after all, far less important than our police and education funding. |

Message | They should be at the bottom with farming too. |
Date | 02:30:59, June 22, 2005 CET | From | National Centrist Party | To | Debating the Accounting Bill |
Message | Recycling facilities are a higher priority than farming subsidies. They should have a defined portion of the budget set aside. However, I do not know the operating costs of a recycling center. |

Message | why do you get to set the priorities? |
Date | 09:30:20, June 23, 2005 CET | From | National Centrist Party | To | Debating the Accounting Bill |
Message | I don't. It's just that no one else has suggested priorities, so I am taking initiative on that. In the absence of opposition, the default goes to what is already defined. If you don't like my priorities, then quite obviously, you should make a counter-proposal. |

Message | For those of you who are wondering where funding for education went, I promise you it will be there.. Right now we are focusing on the military, navy and airforce. These involve big initial capital outlays, but once that is done funding can be reduced... Interestingly, it seems education costs quite a bomb.. we need a budget of a $70 billion only for elementary and secondary education if we are to stick with public schools.. Here's how I did the math.. First the CIA factbook gives the number of ppl in the 0-14 bracket at 20% of the pop. Taking only this number, we get about ten million children.. Then I used this website to get per-capita spending. ( I know its Canada, but still>.) http://www.mels.gouv.qc.ca/STAT/indic02/indic02A/ia02103.pdf At $7000 a head ...thats a neat $70 billion right there...and that's without college or university (i'm not sure what those come out to in canadian equivalents. Is University= Masters?) |

Message | Where can I find the full budget (if anywhere). You must be getting these numbers from somewhere. |
Date | 00:24:08, July 03, 2005 CET | From | Liberal Party for Equality | To | Debating the Accounting Bill |
Message | You didn't need to use the CIA factbook - each region has a population graph, so you can tell. what are we voting on? |

Date | 09:21:39, July 03, 2005 CET | From | People's Party | To | Debating the Accounting Bill |
Message | We are just passing the budget....education hasn't been included yet...so i'm asking for consent for this years money to be spent in the areas of defense, national parks and the Hope and Spirit Act. Since parties of the nation have already agreed to do this by approving each of these acts individually, this is simply a matter of fact statement.. |
