Bill: Trash the Recycling Law

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberty Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2237

Description[?]:

Recycling is just plain bad economics. The clue is the fact that the government has to fund recycling by taking money from people at gunpoint. If recycling was economically reasonable, the bottle and can manufacturers would be paying you for your used items.

Since both the land market (for landfill) and commodity (oil and metals) markets are all pretty efficient, recycling and garbage will ultimately take care of themselves.

MessageDisagree. Not also recycling facilities have imediat effects on the environment, but also they help correct unbalances that may be much more expensive to the public in the future

Random fact: "Treaty-locking", or ratifiying treaties that completely or nearly completely forbid any proposals to change laws, is not allowed. Amongst other possible sanctions, Moderation reserves the discretion to delete treaties and/or subject parties to a seat reset if this is necessary in order to reverse a treaty-lock situation.
