Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: July 5152

Description[?]:

Prime Minister Estas Gallagher was questioned on the situation in Keymon, a country recently fallen under the yoke of a military junta, this junta has also decided to nationalize all the media and to censor all the content of the international media, most of these shares in Keymon's media companies belonged to the Hunperdinck family, including an influential member, the nephew of former Prime Minister Clarice Hunperdinck, Aston Hunperdinck, recently elected under the colors of the APL-Center (Liberals), posed this question to the Prime Minister:
"Mr. Speaker, I would like to ask the Prime Minister a question, Mr. Prime Minister, the situation in Keymon shows that the Luthorian interests are threatened by the takeover of this military government, the ideals we have been preaching for decades. decades, the freedom and democracy of all people on this Earth, are being erased, before our eyes, by an illegitimate government, I ask you, sir, what will Luthori answer to this affront in the face of our area of influence?
This statement was quickly applauded by most Diet members, many of whom want to know what the Luthorian response to this crisis will be. Prime Minister Gallagher, on the other hand, answered this question very quickly, he said "As to your question, Mr. Hunperdinck, the position of the Lutheran government is a very strong condemnation of this coup d'etat by the Army of Keymon , taking the actions of foreign companies having taken years to invest and to grow information in this extended country, of course, I am talking about the free press, the one that defends the right to criticism, not the one set up by the military government, which knows nothing to do but praise them." -Laughs from most members of the Imperial Diet- "That's why Luthori asks for three things:
- 1: A restoration of freedoms to the Keymonians
- 2: The restoration of free and fair elections in Keymon, more than with the dispatch of emissaries from the World Congress, to verify the credibility of the election and finally
- 3: The dissolution of the Board of Medias and a reinstatement of Keymon's media by the companies before the coup d'etat. Also if Luthorians are assaulted in Keymon, or worse, and the government turns a blind eye to these actions,
Luthori can demand that these soldiers be sent to an international court, thank you." This statement was applauded by the members of the government, but deemed weak by the members of the opposition, who in turn want to ask questions about the situation in Keymon.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The new government wants to pull us into a war with Keymon. Mr. Gallagher is a warmongerer that does not defend the Luthorian national interest. The Prime Minister should take care of the economic situation of the country rather than provoking a war. Shame on you!

MessageMr speaker,

Shame upon the patriotic bloc, their party name itself is ironic. As our empire faces another threat but also opportunity, mr Mannord does all he can to subvert and harm our empire in such a difficult time as this. It truly is a shame.

MessageOOC:
just for clarification, Humperdinck Nationalists have joined Luthorian Labour. I can give you the current character that you played now in the Q&A (and you can evolve him), but all the others are in LL.

Take good care of them :)

MessageMr. Speaker

After discussions with my advisors and Defense Minister we have decided to back out of the Treaty with Keymon and push for international arrest warrants for each and every Military leader in Keymon. We will also be pushing for a complete embargo of all Keymon trade and, sanctions on all businesses and politicians who reside there. God Bless!

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire.
