Description[?]:
Mr.Speaker, Its been long enough for the public to not have the right to appeal against the judgements passed by the higher courts. We believe that a uniform system of courts should be present.According to our proposals the duchy high courts verdicts can be appealed to the Supreme Court & a final appeal to that judgement can be heard in the Supreme Court too. The Death Penalty will now be administered only for serious/grave crimes as mentioned in the law. However, the administration of the death penalty will be done after the decision of final appeal in the Supreme court if any filed by the convict. We have also re-establishing accountability system in medical sector which protects both doctors & patients rights. We have decided to establish medical tribunals, which will be responsible for hearing of cases against the medical professionals. The decision can be appealed in the Supreme court.Medical Tribunals will be established by the Luthori Medical Commission itself & government will have no role in it to ensure transparency. I highly recommend this bill to the house Attorney General/Minister for Justice, Isabelle McNaughton |
