Bill: Discrimination in the military and Police fire arm usage
Details
Submitted by[?]: New Luthori Reform Party

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2239
Description[?]:
First I would like to say I was shocked to see that we openly encourage discrimination in the military. Race and religion doesn't matter when it comes to the military since we are all fighting for the same thing. This law must be changed post haste. As for police fire arm useage I think our officers should have the ability to use deadly force when needed to protect themselves and others. |

Message | these two bills are pure common sense and hopefully nobody has any problems. |

Message | I would be inclined to cede to article one but article two is a no brainer. The people most against arming all the police are the normal police officers themselves: especially the one who've had their batons and CS sprays used against them. Firearms should remain in the hands of specially trained and selected personnel only. Ideally I'd disarm the police altogether and use the army when firearms are required. |

Message | How many cases have you heard of police officer getting there guns taken away? Lets say the officer finds himself in a situation in which the criminal is full armed what is he suppose to do? pull out his baton? Not arming our officers puts them all in grave danger and puts them at the disadvantage when facing a criminal threat. Sometimes officers are put in situations in which deadly force is a must for there own protection you are pretty much saying they should give up in those situations and run. And police officers go through training just to become police officers and lets not act like they are a bunch of idiots right off the street. And the job of the army is not to police its own population. Hopefully you will change your mind on this stance before it is too late. Also I would hope the importance of article one alone would be enough to persuade anybody to vote for this bill. |

Message | You blew your chances of passing article one with that idiotic article two. Specialist police firearms units and Special Forces Counter-revolutionary Warfare Wings are more than capable of dealing with hte limited gun crime in the Empire. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
