Description[?]:

The results are in : https://particracy.fandom.com/wiki/5195_Luthorian_local_elections

1. Good result of the Luthorian Democrats

The Luthorian Democrats are undoubtedly one of the winners of this election. The right-wing party won two duchies : Shipleyriding and Northriding. The party made large gains in all duchies except Orange and re-elected its two minister-presidents. Tobias Koller can be happy, especially with the support it received from the Luthorian Conservative Party.
The LD made their best results in the rural duchy of Northriding : it received 55% of the votes

2. The Labour-Rally alliance wins two duchies

The coalition won 35% of the votes in Middenriding and an absolute majority in the coastal duchy. In Orange, the former mayor of Fort-William Lia Jack (Luthorian Labour) benefited from her huge popularity and won the election with an astonishing 54% of the vote for the Luthorian Labour. It is a resurrection of the Luthorian Labour, which made the largest gains in terms of seats in the election.

3. The Left Party wins Erneshire

The Left Party leadership can be happy. In the industrial duchy of Erneshire, the LP won 39.5% of the votes. It the best result ever won by the party in a ducal election.
Elsewhere, the party has a pretty stable level of support with more than 16% in every duchy.
Charlotte Davies stated : "I am very happy with the result of the Left Party. It is the fruit of our ground work with the working class in Erneshire. Together, we are building the future. However, I am also worried by the results of the far-right."

4. The Rally for the Empire loses its stronghold

The monarchist party lost its stronghold, the duchy of Erneshire, where the party is in power since 5 years. It is a bitter defeat for former minister-president Graham Reynolds, which loses to the Left Party.

5. The return of the far-right

The People's nationalist Party made a breakthrough and won seats in four duchies. It made its best results in the coastal duchies of Shipleyriding and Middenriding, probably due to the recent influx of illegal immigrants by boat. The party ran on a "white rights" platform and anti-establishment messages through social medias. In Middenriding, the party gained 14.66% of the votes. It made its worst result in the duchy of Orange, where the more progressive capital Fort-Williams is located: only 4.59%.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
