| Highly-Regarded Leader of the Conservative Party, Lucy Jones, who will has led the party for 22 years since 5177, has officially stepped down from her position as leader, making way for newcomer, Marcus Pares. "I have achieved more than I ever could have hoped to achieve" Mrs. Jones stated earlier today "When I first took the role, every party opposed us, and certainly none believed in us. Over the course of my time here, it seems that relationships have been mended, alliances have been forged, and respect has grown considerably. But, it is simply time to move on, and what better time than the turn of the century." Marcus Pares, aged 43, was warmly welcomed into the Party today, and shook hands with a bittersweet Lucy Jones as she walked out of parliament for the final time. |
