| The Government of Kalistan has proposed a bill to officially adopt an "All of the Above" Alternative Energy Strategy, which aims at completely abandoning hydrocarbons as a source of fuel or power, and adopting heavy investment both in the construction and the research in the following technologies: 1. Fusion using existing z pinch generators 2. Solar Collection Farms 3. Wind Turbines 4. Wave Generation 5. Tidal Generation 6. Geothermal Generation The Government shall invest significant sums into KalEnCon to begin switching completely away from hydrocarbons to provide energy, within 1 year, and the transition to a hydrocarbon free energy supply shall be completed within 20 years from the date of the passage of this legislation. KANENCON will make annual report to the Assembly with regard to energy capacity supplied from Hydrocarbons and from renewable sources, as well as what infrastructure it has built within the last year. KALENCON then continue to operate the energy infrastructure, and will sponsor efficiency and research and development initiatives through the Ministry of Science and Technology and in conjunction with Kalistan's Public Universities, as well as interested scientists and researchers from other nations. |
