Bill: Legal Aid

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberty Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2241

Description[?]:

Legal Aid (for cases where the State is using the legal system against an individual) is essential part of safeguarding liberty. Liberty should not exist only for those with 'low incomes' (and low income will obviously be defined by the State, in the manner most convenient to the State). There is no individual earning so much that the State cannot outspend him.

Messagei really dont get you. I would agree, but only if the defendant accepted that. If he wanted another lawyer, he should pay for it.

MessageThat is what I think this proposal means. I don't think it forces the defendant to use the state-provided attorney, but merely provides optional access to it.

There is no proposal option which clearly specifies this, but this is as close as it gets.
