=== HUTORIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION === = NATIONAL NEWS = Bekenial, Adelia Thousands took to the streets today in the capital to protest against the rise of far-right wing extremists after the news of the HNF making a paramilitary. Protests demands for the government to do more to stop the far-right wing extremists and fascists from getting to mainstream. One of the slogans when the protesters march to the Senate building was "Death To Fascism. Freedom To The People." Only time will tell if the demands of the people will be answered but one thing is certain is that everyone is waiting for the general elections to take place in March of 5222. OCC: You guys are more than welcome to join in this RP Scenario. |

With protests in the capitol and across the country against the Hosian Democrats and Hutori Nationalist Front, Forward Party Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Alev Dorffgoodname declared his support for the protesters and called for the Unionist Front to condemn these parties. He also stated that he is open to a coalition between parties across the political spectrum following the next election. |

Message | === HUTORIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION === = NATIONAL NEWS = President of the Republic Tom Thomas addressing the United Front convention "No doubt ladies and gentlemen, the people of Hutori voted for change, they voted for the UNITED FRONT! We won the Presidency, winning against a candidate with the endorsement of EVERY other political party in Hutori. The people of Hutori spoke and spoke clearly: they wanted change, and they chose the United Front. However, our victory has given us 240 Seats, 47% of the Senate. While this is the largest mandate we have ever received, we must reach out to the other side, we must work together with the other political powers in hutori. All political views centered on the love of our nation, Hutori, should be respected. 32% of Hutori's voted for what the PPH and PCPH called "fascists" and "far-right". Using these names means that you are calling 1/3rd of Hutori voters terrorists and extremists. As President of the Republic once more, I will work my utmost to ensure that the polarization of our society ends. The UF has shown its ability to work together with other parties. Indeed we have never won the Presidency except by working with other political powers. We reached a deal with the NPP, our longtime political rival, and were able to make great strides in mutual understanding. It's thus no wonder why we have been given the mandate by the people of Hutori to lead once more. Regarding the recent decision by the Supreme Court to dissolve the Hosian Democratic Front (HDF), our largest coalition partner, and a party that won 20% of the popular vote; we cannot say we do not object to this ruling. We are pursuing all legal avenues as the United Front to sue for the re-establishment of the party. We see this ruling as unfair, targeted, and a clear interference of the judiciary in the political system. However, the UF has always been a party of law & order. We will work with the judicial system to resolve this issue within the bounds of the Constitution and the Rule of Law. We have not, and will not ever resort to political violence. As per the laws of the land, with the dissolution of such a large party, we will undoubtedly support the dissolution of this historic senate to reflect the will of the people. We are in no doubt that we will replicate, albeit to a smaller extent thanks to the recent ruling of the courts, our success, and the mandate we were given by the People of Hutori. Regarding the recent protests, they are of course within the framework of the Freedom of Expression. As President of the entire Republic and not just the 47% who voted for my Front, I reach out to those young people, the future of our nation, and call upon them to dialogue, and to work together to see that we are not as different as we may seem. We all share this nation, and we all share a dream for its betterment. We are NOT enemies of each other. I wish you all a blessed night. LONG LIVE HUTORI" |
