Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, Our party proposes that there is a need for a stronger military for our nation so as to better look after our own safety and also the safety of the world. At the same time, we want the government to focus on issues pertaining our citizens and not that of those abroad, therefore we propose privatizing the defence industries and also giving our military a more open hand. Message | Kalistan has long stood opposed to the development, possession and deployment of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. Additionally, the Nation must control at least some critical defense industries to ensure that our State is not gouged by war profiteers in times of national emergency. Keeping at least some defense industries in the public sphere undermines the power of capitalism to hold our nation for ransom in exchange for them doing what they are supposed to be doing and supplying our nation with weapons at cost. We should never let private profit prevail over the National Interest, not in any circumstance. The individual good must always yield to the National Interest. |
