| Mr. Speaker, It is ridiculous that we ban a natural occuring plant in this nation, even worse is that our government actively bans not only its many usages, such as but not limited to, smoking it. I do not have to mention the hypocricy I hope? Because smoking a cigar or other tabaco products seems to be fine, whilst being drugs as well, but cannabis? Lets end this, lets end the idea that the government has any right at all to tell an adult what he or she does with THEIR body, because Mr. Speaker, it is THEIR body, not the governments. I implore all parties here, vote to end this paternalistic policy and legalise natural occuring drugs. Mr. Speaker, It cannot be overstated that the yoke of collectivist thinking of the state is hindering the proper and sound decision making of women. Resulting in unwanted children, disrupted lives and the social consequences on our healthcare and welfare system, not to mention the effect it has on the education of those afflicted and the waste of their economic potential. We, the Whigs, propose to allow women to get an abortion within the first trimester of the pregnancy, in this stage the unborn child is not yet a living person and thus their rights as an individual to life do not come into place yet.
