Bill: RP approval: Unions declare a one-day strike every month

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 5248

Description[?]:

THIS RP NEEDS A MAJORITY OF YES VOTES TO BE APPROVED.

Trade unions have announced a one-day strike every month in order to force the government to remove the austerity measures that would decrease unemployment benefits, pensions, allowances and increase tax for the middle class and the poors.
"We are going to block this country until the government listens" says the statement of all major trade unions, who call on the government to find the money "in the pockets of billionaires" instead of the "working people".
Economists are expecting a decrease in economic growth throughout the year as a result of these strikes.
Although they are followed, the law allowing employers to fire striking workers may deter some of them from striking every month.
