| The House of Commons just passed an historic abortion law : http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=684326 Despite the opposition from the conservative-dominated government, the opposition ganged up with the National Liberal Party to pass a law granting the right to safe and secure abortion everywhere in Luthori. Abortions will even be publicly funded. The Liberal Socialist Party hailed this as a "great victory for women's rights thanks to the parliamentary activity of the LSP". Conservative and far-right political commentators blamed the government for not being united on taking a pro-life stance. The other conservative parties in government have not yet commented on the result of the vote. |
