She also said it would be impossible to adopt a social democratic program and end the unrestricted powers given to the police if negotiations with the CPL are not undertaken. "There is a world of difference between our party and the Rally for Luthori or the National Coalition. We don't want unlimited powers for the police forces, that's our red line. We want democracy, not authoritarianism. We have reservations about the CPL, especially with their populist rhetoric, but due to their high election result, we can't ignore them." |
