The leader of the LSP said that in addition to the devolution of most of the agricultural policies to local governments, she will support the devolution of other policies: -Local governments decide about this. (jury selection) -Malpractice regulations are left to the locality of the practicing doctor -Local governments decide who has the right to trial by jury. -Local governments may set curfews, but national government does not. -The decision is left to the local governments (criminals released from jail) -Judges/Magistrates are appointed by local governments. -Local government decide the legality of public executions. In addition, the LSP wants to add these two policies : -Government subsidies are provided for research and generation of energy through renewable sources. -The government gives moderate aid to countries in need. |
