MessageWe can accept some regulation in primary and secondary school, but we cannot compromise the academic freedom of our nation's colleges and universities. The purpose of a university is not to produce thousands of students with identical educations; rather, it is to promote free independent thought. The sort of stifling regulation proposed here would limit academic freedom and reduce our nation's fine institutions of higher learning to serving as diploma mills.
