Message | However not holding any seats within The Assembly, The UCP cannot stand behind this joke of a bill. "Extreme ironing" is not a sport, it's a mockery. The Protecterate Party should be ashamed of this proposal. |

Message | The UCP should do a little research before assuming this bill is a joke. However due to the recent problems we have accessing some of the historical archives (OOC: the wiki being down) we will assume the UCP is just lacking in information. E.I. has a long tradition as our national sport. It was invented here in Malivia by members of the national conservation force. It slowly grew in popularity and was proposed as our first national sport ever after one of the legends of the sport scaled the capital and ironed a Malivian flag perfectly. Videos of this historic event are still sold around the nation. Baseball on the other hand is a new sport to our nation, and though popular does not have the historic ties that Ex. Ironing does. So a vote for this bill is not a move toward the ridiculous, rather a confirmation of our roots as a nation and a statement about what is truely Malivan. |

Message | Extreme ironing is less about athletic competition and more about making your shirt looked nice and pressed. At least baseball requires some semblance to competition, and is a world reknowned sport. I stand in direct opposition to this bill. |

Message | Baseball is all about running in circles, (or diamonds at least), chewing tobacco and spitting. Extreme Ironing is about battling nature while still keeping culture and appearances. It requires extreme skill to arrive at the location even without an iron and board. Then there is the chance for art as well in location selection, presentation and crowd appeal. Baseball has none of these factors. |

Message | The IHP, former the Malivian IRP, applaudes the UCP & PP's dislike of Extreme Ironing, Polo was a far better sport. |
