| This act will make prostitution illegal. This objectives women as nothing more than sexual objects. Prostitution has also been known to attract young girls, both high school and college aged, and makes it difficult, once joined, to leave this profession. According to the Aldegarian Psychiatric Association (APA) prostitutes, especially young ones, are known to have severly high levels of depression and low self-esteem. Cases of venereal diseases are also irregularly high in the red light districts of cities. |

| Message | We agree with your criticisms of prostitution, but from a practical point of view, it tends to continue even when illegal. The difference is that if illegal, it is unregulated and therefore much more dangerous for the women both in terms of their physical safety and their health. We therefore believe that prostitution should be legal, but that paying for a prostitute's services should be illegal, i.e. the clients should be prosecuted. |
