Bill: Cabinet Proposal of July 2252

Details

Submitted by[?]: Jakania Union Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2253

Description[?]:

Proposing a Cabinet

The Cabinet is proposed with the following thoughts:

1) The post of Prime Minister goes to the Jakania Union Party as the largest party in the National Assembly.

2) Excluding the Prime Minister post, 50% of the Cabinet positions go to the JUP.

3) The remaining 50% of the Cabinet positions are split equally between the Jakania Reform Party and the Conservative Freedom Party, acknowledging their relatively equal status in Assembly representation.

4) Each party in the coalition receives at least one "major" ministry (Defence, Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Finance, Justice)

Random fact: Moderation will not approve a Cultural Protocol request within the first 48 hours of it being requested. This is in order to give other players a chance to query the proposed changes, if they wish to do so. Moderation may be approached for advice on a proposed change, but any advice proffered should always be understood under the provisio that no final decision will be made until at least 48 hours after the request has been formally submitted for approval.
