Message | That is discrimination. If I were gay or a woman and I joined the military, I would want to have equal opportunity to prove that I am just as good as a soldier as the majority of the people in the military. |

Message | BPP, that is the point. The only reason gays and women are allowed in the front line is because of equality, not because it makes military sense. |

Message | Exactly, although the few women that do pass the training are of the same fitness, it is an undeniable strain on resources and morale, all in the name of equality, not in the name of logic or military effectiveness. |
Date | 18:33:56, July 17, 2006 CET | From | Black People's Party | To | Debating the Traditional Military Bill |
Message | Some of the best soldiers have been women, many of them pilots and snipers. If this military can't train women and gays to be effective then I don't think they are effective at all... |
Date | 18:58:14, July 17, 2006 CET | From | Gnazenal Phr'unt | To | Debating the Traditional Military Bill |
Message | Rubbish, the military shouldn't have to persue equality simply because that is what politicians desire. |
Date | 19:59:28, July 17, 2006 CET | From | Democratic Socialist Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Traditional Military Bill |
Message | No, they should because it's the humane thing to do. Though I suppose the military isn't in the business of being humane. |
Date | 11:25:40, July 18, 2006 CET | From | Gnazenal Phr'unt | To | Debating the Traditional Military Bill |
Message | Exactly, the DSPL illustrate the point perfectly. The only reason certain people are allowed in the military is to further equality, regardless of the fact that equality is meaningless in an environment such as the military. |
