Bill: Military Investment Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Gnazenal Phr'unt

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2258

Description[?]:

The National Front feels that, in an area as important as national defence, the government should allow the Ministries of Defence, and the Ministry concerning Science and Technology, to invest a part of the budget in defence industries, if they see fit. In the long term these investments should also provide a small income for the respective Ministries that can be reinvested.

MessageThis hardly makes us militaristic, the military being able to invest in military products kind of makes sense.

MessageOf course it makes sense for the military to invest in what it buys,

Random fact: When your party holds the foreign affairs department, you can create new treaties. However, before writing anything new, it is a good idea to search for existing treaties which already accomplish what you desire.
