Message | ummmm....no-our defense industries are all privately owned-therefore I see no need for a defense budget. Also, the finance department really doesn't need money to function. |
Date | 22:06:43, July 23, 2006 CET | From | Jakania Union Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of October 2258 |
Message | The industries may be privately owned, but the government still needs to allocate for defense (i.e. army, navy, air force) |

Message | Reform Party, you could not possibly be more wrong. The Finance Department absolutely needs money to function, and the status of the defense industry is irrelevent -- those companies merely MANUFACTURE weapons and equipment. |
Date | 22:10:53, July 24, 2006 CET | From | Jakania Union Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of October 2258 |
Message | This is quite a substantial increase in government spending though, more than double. |
Date | 05:26:10, July 25, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Freedom Party of Jakania | To | Debating the Budget proposal of October 2258 |
Message | Unfortunately, deep and unwise budget cuts in the past have necessitated such a large increase. |
Date | 18:16:00, July 25, 2006 CET | From | Jakania Reform Party | To | Debating the Budget proposal of October 2258 |
Message | I'm going to propose a budget with the cuts you have proposed. And then if that is passed-I'm open to discussions on increased funding for the defense department |
