Message | We're totally opposed to Article 2. Now I could launch into a long and boring talk with Communist BS about how I hate monarchy and what not. But let me speak OOC for a second and beg you to reconsider. An elected HoS is part of the funnest component to this game. When there is more parties (and I swear to you there will be soon), it makes coalition building and endorsements extremely interesting. Instead of one part to an election, there is two. It's extremely entertaining. Don't get rid of it. I faced this problem when I played in Rildanor and there is an easy compromise I came up with there. If we must have a monarchy, keep the elected HoS. However, change the national motto to read "For the Glory of King/Queen...." and incorporate it into the national anthem. That should sate your desperation for a monarchy and preserve a fun component to the game. Please? |

Message | I like the DLF countre-measure. We will persue the national anthem change and propose a change to the motto: I know which one I want, put it may take some work to find it. When next you look upon this bill, it will be much different. Can we at least recognise the British Monarch? I suppose it's no stretch for me, but how would the two of you feel? |

Message | Obviously we're pleased you are no longer messing with the HoS elections we so cherish. I don't know what the motto means even though I took Latin. Is the HoS title change, is that really necessary? And for future notice, England has no standing in this game, and we'd be laughed at as a nation on the forums if we tried to formally recognize a non-existent monarch. If you're so interested with England, though, I suggest you converse with us about RPing Telamon as though it were an English-like nation, sort of in the same manner Dundorf RPs as though it were East Germany. Personally, I really wouldn't mind that at all, although I don't know how the MLP would react. Unfortunately, in-character, we're a Left-wing party, so we must oppose any attempts at recognizing any monarch in whatever form, but this won't stop you from passing your bill, don't worry. |

Message | I took Latin, too. The motto is in Old French. It means, 'shame on he who thinks ill of it.' It is actually the motto of the Most Honourable Order of the Garter and sometimes the monarchy in general. I have to say I never liked chancellor, as if we're Germany or a university. If you don't like Lord Lieutenant, would you settle for President (like the French Republic)? Also, by 'special significance' we avoid being an inner-circle commonwealth nation and would have a relation similar to Mauritius. On a completely unrelated subject, why does half the royal family holiday on Mauritius? |

Message | I don't know anything about the monarchy, but I'm sure this Mauritius is a beautiful place. The motto is fine. HoS change to President is fine by us, although remember we're still voting against because the anthem recognizes a monarch. In the future we should fine some more original names than Prime Minister, Chancellor, President, Parliament, Province, etc. |

Message | I tried, but no cigar. About the RPing, a mundane relationship equivalent to Mauritius, which you rightly say is a beautiful place that the British wacked the French out of in 1811, would not require much. I think all it would take is that bill introductions by the PM's party would begin: Be it enacted by the Queens most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows'. Also, calls for early elections shold make reference to a request that the Queen dissolved Parliament. How about that? |

Message | We will have to oppose this, as we're republicans, but it's a fine proposal. Not that we have any votes as such. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
Random quote: "Thousands of Zardic soldiers were sacrificed so that the Zardic government could gain control of a few buildings and Theodoro could pretend to be Augustus the Great. This is the kind of jingoistic ideology Zardugal would bring to the Security Council. They will throw countless lives away in pursuit of former glory." - Prince Akhaias, former Coburan royal |
