Bill: Higher Education Bill for Equal Opportunity
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Democratic Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2072
Description[?]:
Though there is currently a vast and comprehensive system of higher education provided by the government, private higher education institutions are "self-regulated" meaning they do not have to meet nationally set standards for education. This might be used by private higher education schools to provide biased education or create it's own regulations which could be used to conduct discrimination or prejudice towards a certain gender, ethnicity, etc. What shall we do about this? |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The regulation of higher education.
Old value:: The government allows public and private higher education institutions to coexist with self-regulation for those that are private.
Current: The government does not fund any public higher education institutions, permitting only private higher education institutions to exist.
Proposed: The government allows private higher education but regulates it to meet nationally set standards.

Message | I don't know. I was going to propose no private ones but I saw the already set law gave private colleges authority to do whatever they want so, I thought everyone in this country would oppose having no private systems. See, I was under the impression that all the laws of this nation were either written by you or the LBSC. |
